The rooftop might be the home's secret weapon. There is already plenty happening downstairs: contemporary architecture, an oversized kitchen island, pool and spa, wood deck, outdoor dining and a firepit. That's where we imagine everyone migrating at the end of the day. We also like the architecture more after learning that this isn't simply another anonymous contemporary. Jae Omar's design uses wood, glass and earthy materials to soften the modern lines, and the Fleetwood doors allow the kitchen and living spaces to open directly toward the pool. But the real differentiator is the neighborhood. You can walk out the door toward the Venice Canals, Abbot Kinney, restaurants, shops and the beach. In Los Angeles, being able to leave the car at home for part of the day is a luxury all its own. It also changes the way you live here for a month. Venice isn't an outing you schedule; it's simply where you live.
