This is probably my preferred way to do the Ritz in Vail. Go all the way upstairs. Vail Lionshead Circle Penthouse is a remodeled four-bedroom, five-bath penthouse for ten that combines genuine residential scale with everything downstairs at The Ritz-Carlton. And that's the trick. You aren't squeezing a family into adjoining hotel rooms. You've got a real home with a kitchen, living spaces and enough bedrooms to settle in for a month. But somebody else is still taking care of the pool, hot tubs and resort infrastructure. The finishes are contemporary and appropriately high-end, but the real indulgence is the combination of penthouse privacy and hotel service. You're also in Lionshead, which means Vail Mountain, restaurants and village life are all easy to reach. For a family that likes great hotels but needs more space than a hotel can realistically provide, this makes a lot of sense.
