This is the Vail alternative for someone who doesn't need cobblestones outside the front door. Vail Fallridge Road sits by the Vail Golf Club in a quieter part of the valley, where the fairway, creek and mountains replace the energy of Vail Village. The house has a family-oriented mountain feel, with gathering space and a game-room setup that gives everyone somewhere to land after a day outside. But the real story is the setting. In winter, you're still coming for Vail Mountain. In summer, this location gets even more interesting because golf, hiking, biking and Gore Creek become part of everyday life. I wouldn't choose this if my priority were walking downstairs to dinner every night. I'd choose it because I wanted a quieter version of Vail while keeping the village and mountain close enough to enjoy whenever we wanted them.
