This is the Vail house I'd look at twice if I were coming in July instead of January. Vail Fairway Drive is a five-bedroom, six-bath mountain estate overlooking the Vail Golf Club side of the valley, with a private hot tub, decks and the kind of open mountain outlook that works just as well with green fairways as it does with snow. That's what makes it interesting. In winter, Vail Mountain is still the reason you're here. But the house isn't dependent on ski season to make sense. Summer gives you golf practically outside, plus hiking, biking, Gore Creek and Vail's outdoor events. Inside, there's plenty of gathering space, a well-equipped kitchen and fireplace areas that make the house feel appropriately mountain without overdoing the lodge theme. This feels less like a ski rental and more like a Vail house that happens to be excellent in ski season.
