Not every Telluride stay needs to revolve around a giant house. Telluride Sunny Ridge Place Haven is a three-bedroom mountain residence that sleeps more people than you'd expect from the bedroom count, but what I like is that it still feels appropriately intimate. The main living spaces are open and comfortable, with the kind of warm mountain character that makes settling in easy. There's a private balcony, and the See Forever setting keeps Mountain Village and the mountains very much part of the experience. This isn't the house where I'd spend the first ten minutes listing amenities. I'd choose it because the scale makes sense for a family or smaller group that plans to spend real time together and doesn't need seven bedrooms, a theater and a private game arcade to have a great month in Telluride. Sometimes right-sized is the luxury.
