This one solves a Telluride problem beautifully. You can have the private hot tub and sauna, then walk into town. Telluride Smuggler Avenue is a remodeled four-bedroom modern-mountain house with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, but the location is what pushes it over the top for me. You're in Telluride itself. That means skiing and restaurants don't automatically begin with someone finding the car keys. Inside, the design is contemporary and clean, with a gourmet kitchen and open fireplace-centered living space. Three bedrooms work naturally for adult couples, while the twin/trundle room gives children their own space. Every bedroom is ensuite. Then you come home from skiing, use the sauna, get into the hot tub and decide whether you even want to go back out for dinner. That's a very good Telluride day.
