The best argument for this house happens at about 8:30 at night. You've had dinner in Telluride, maybe stopped somewhere for another glass of wine, and when you're ready to go home, you walk. Telluride Depot Avenue Place is a five-bedroom contemporary home in town, and that's the experience I'd build the review around. The house is polished, open and comfortable for a group, with enough bathrooms to keep five bedrooms functioning well and a balcony that gives you some outdoor connection without pretending this is a secluded mountain estate. But location is the amenity. For a month, I'd use Telluride completely differently from here. Coffee, restaurants, shops, festivals and evening walks stop being destinations and become part of daily life. That's a pretty compelling way to experience one of America's great mountain towns.
