A coal-fired sauna. Now that's something I haven't written about in the last 76 reviews. Telluride Cristinas Way has an old-world, almost European mountain personality that immediately separates it from all the contemporary alpine houses around Telluride. There's a Basque influence to the architecture and interiors, individually styled bedrooms, multiple fireplaces and a gourmet kitchen with its own fireplace. Then you get a media room, office, private spa, jetted soaking tub, backyard hot tub and that coal-fired sauna. The setting is more secluded too. You're outside the pedestrian cores of Telluride and Mountain Village, with broader views and more breathing room around you. I wouldn't choose this house because I wanted maximum convenience. I'd choose it because I wanted something with a soul.
