This is one of the Telluride houses where I'd want to put the car away and forget about it. You're right on Colorado Avenue in a historic five-bedroom home, with Telluride's restaurants, shops and mountain-town life outside the door. Then there's a private patio and hot tub waiting back at the house. That's a combination I really like. The home has actual Telluride character rather than trying to recreate a generic version of the West. It feels connected to the town's history, but it's been updated enough that you're not sacrificing comfort for charm. For a group of thirteen, there's enough room for a proper family trip. But what I'd remember is walking home after dinner. No shuttle. No designated driver. No debate over who wants to leave first. Just Telluride outside the front door.
