It doesn't feel like someone designed a beautiful modern home and then added outdoor amenities. The entire property seems to have been conceived as one continuous place to live. And what a backyard. The infinity-edge pool and spa take advantage of the elevation and views, but it's the amount of usable space around them that really impresses us. Multiple sitting areas mean twelve people aren't forced into one conversation. Someone can be cooking at the built-in barbecue, another group can settle beside the pool, and someone else can find a quieter corner without leaving the party. Even the practical details are smart. A patio bathroom with its own shower means swimmers don't have to trail wet feet through the house, while surround sound keeps music moving between inside and out. We also like how the bedrooms are distributed throughout the home. A downstairs bedroom works well for someone who wants to avoid stairs, while several upstairs rooms have balconies and sitting areas. For a full house, that separation gives everyone somewhere to retreat.
