The pool is the star. There are plenty of beautiful pools in this collection, but very few have this much personality. The grotto-style rockwork and theatrical water features make the backyard feel more like a hidden lagoon than a conventional suburban pool. It’s playful, a little over the top, and exactly the kind of thing kids—and probably most adults—will remember. Then there’s the giant fish tank in the living room, which reinforces that slightly underwater, nautical feeling before you ever get outside. We also love that the house doesn’t stop with the theme. Cathedral ceilings and the full bar give the interior real entertaining scale, while the oversized yard lets the whole experience breathe. Even the entry gets in on the act. The curved scroll forms above the front door have an almost old-sailing-ship quality to them. We wouldn’t get overly architectural about it, but it’s one of those small details that makes much more sense once you’ve seen the rest of the house.
