An indoor lap pool in a ski house gets my attention pretty quickly. Park City White Pine Canyon Road Stillson is an eight-bedroom, eleven-bath Colony estate built at a completely different scale from most mountain rentals. It accommodates a group of up to twenty, with multiple gathering spaces, a game room, hot tub and enough bathrooms that twenty people aren't all trying to get ready in shifts. But it's the pool that changes the personality of the house for me. In winter, you've got an entirely different activity when someone doesn't want to ski. In summer, it gives you another option after hiking or biking. And for a month-long family stay, it becomes something you actually use rather than an amenity you photograph once. This is less mountain house and more private mountain resort, which makes sense given its Colony setting and sheer scale.
