This is a good example of why I don't judge a mountain home by bedroom count. Mountain Village San Joaquin Road Ridgeview has only three bedrooms, but then the building gives you a seasonal pool, game room, gym and hot tub. Suddenly the house lives much bigger. Inside, it's bright and contemporary, with sweeping ridgeline views, a fireplace and an efficient open kitchen with an island and wine cooler. The primary bedroom is especially good: king bed, fireplace, balcony and steam shower. The other bedrooms make this naturally suited to a family, with a queen room and a three-twin bunk room. I wouldn't choose this because it's the grandest house in Mountain Village. I'd choose it because a smaller family gets access to a much broader amenity experience without paying for seven bedrooms they don't need.
