San Joaquin Road has become one of my favorite little pockets in this Telluride collection. Mountain Village San Joaquin Road Haven gives you the quieter residential side of Mountain Village while keeping Telluride Ski Resort close enough that skiing remains central to the house. The mountain architecture feels appropriate rather than theatrical, and the house is set up for a family or group that plans to spend serious time outside. That's what I like here. You're not paying for a bowling alley or indoor basketball court. You're paying to wake up in the mountains, ski Telluride and come home to a proper mountain residence afterward. Sometimes that's enough.

What we love

The setting. There's a point where adding more amenities actually distracts from why you came to Telluride. Here, the mountains and skiing stay at the center of the experience. I also like being outside Mountain Village Core. You get more residential calm without feeling disconnected from the resort.

Keep in mind

This isn't a walk-to-dinner location in the same way the village-core properties are. Plan on using Mountain Village transportation or a vehicle for at least some restaurants, errands and outings.

Work Mode

Usable for remote work, but not one we'd select primarily because of its office setup.

Getting around

Telluride Ski Resort is the primary mountain, with ski access on the Mountain Village side. Mountain Village Core, restaurants, shops and the free gondola are nearby but generally easier with shuttle or transportation from this residential pocket. Summer brings hiking, biking, golf and easy access to Telluride's broader trail and adventure network.
