I think this house makes the most sense when you imagine coming home after skiing. Boots are off. Someone heads straight for the cedar hot tub. Kids disappear to another floor. Dinner starts without requiring everyone to remain in one giant room together. That's what the four-level layout does well. Mountain Village Prospect Falls Court has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and enough sleeping capacity for a large extended family. Instead of putting everything on one enormous floor, the house uses its vertical layout to create separate zones. I like that for a multigenerational trip. People can be together when they want to be without forcing every activity into the same space. The architecture feels appropriately mountain rather than overly designed, and the setting gives the house the kind of views and outdoor connection I'd want from Telluride.
