Mountain Village Country Club Drive is a seven-bedroom mountain lodge built for a big group, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings and a massive stone fireplace giving the house exactly the kind of scale you'd expect from the setting. But the direct ski access is what changes everything. With eighteen people, avoiding the morning ritual of loading cars, finding parking and coordinating departure times is a serious luxury. Back at the house, there's a game room and private hot tub, so the place still has plenty of personality after the lifts close. The architecture is unapologetically mountain: stone, wood, glass and big volume. In another setting it might feel like too much. Here, with Telluride outside the windows, it makes perfect sense.
