This may be one of the easiest houses in the portfolio to assign bedrooms: two king rooms for the adults, two bunk rooms for the kids. Done. Except the bunk rooms aren't just sleeping rooms. They double as media spaces, which is exactly why I like the setup. Mountain Village Boulevard High is a bright contemporary ski residence positioned directly on the Misty Maiden run off Lift 4, with white cabinetry, high-end appliances and resort-facing views. But the real story is family function. The adults get proper bedrooms, the kids get rooms they'll actually want to spend time in, and skiing begins directly outside. That's a really smart way to build a family ski house.

What we love

The two bunk/media rooms are excellent. Instead of treating the kids' rooms as places to store sleeping bodies, the house gives them somewhere to hang out, and that changes the entire evening dynamic. Adults can have dinner or sit by the fire while the kids have their own movie or game setup. Then there's the ski access. Being directly on Misty Maiden off Lift 4 makes the morning incredibly simple. I also like the brighter contemporary design. It feels appropriate to the village setting without defaulting to the usual dark ski-house palette.

Keep in mind

There is no private hot tub, and parking is limited to one vehicle. You're also in the heart of Mountain Village, so expect more activity around the building than you'd get in a secluded residential home. And because two of the four bedrooms are bunk/media rooms, this is much better for two couples with children than four adult couples.

Work Mode

One of the bunk/media rooms includes a desk, so there's a workable place to get something done, but I wouldn't choose the house specifically for remote work.

Getting around

The ski access is excellent: you're directly on the Misty Maiden Ski Run off Lift 4 at Telluride Ski Resort. Mountain Village restaurants, shops, plazas and the gondola are also within practical walking distance, making this one of the portfolio's strongest car-light ski stays. In summer, hiking, mountain biking, village events and the free gondola keep the location just as useful.

For two families with kids, this is an easy yes. The bedroom strategy and direct skiing both make the house much more functional than its four-bedroom count suggests.
