This is where Mountain Village starts feeling almost European. You're right in the village environment, looking out toward the plaza and slopes, with skiing outside and restaurants, shops and the gondola woven into everyday life. Inside, Mountain Village Boulevard Granita is cleaner and more contemporary than the traditional mountain homes we've been reviewing. The kitchen wraps around a breakfast bar, the living room has a substantial sofa, and broad windows keep the ski village in view. There are only three bedrooms, but I don't see that as a limitation. Two kings plus a captain-bunk setup make this a very logical house for two couples traveling with kids. The primary also has a reading nook, jetted tub and steam shower. For me, though, the luxury is how little effort the location requires. You can ski, eat, wander the village or take the gondola into Telluride without organizing the entire day around a car.
