This is a more traditional mountain house, and I think the four-level layout is actually part of its appeal. Cherry wood, stone, marble counters and a large fireplace give Mountain Village Aspen Ridge Drive 13 a classic alpine personality. It isn't trying to be the newest minimalist chalet in Telluride. What makes it work for me is the bedroom setup. There are three king bedrooms and one queen, which is unusually adult-friendly for a four-bedroom ski house. Several bedrooms have their own balconies and ensuite baths, so the vertical layout gives different couples a little private mountain perch rather than putting all the desirable rooms on one floor. There's also dedicated workspace, which matters on a month-long stay. I wouldn't choose this because I wanted a giant game room or theater. I'd choose it because four couples can travel together and nobody feels like they ended up in the kids' room.
