This sleeping arrangement is almost unfair to the other four-bedroom ski houses. There are three king suites, plus a separate bunk room with extra-long twins. That's exactly how I'd design a house for three adult couples traveling with kids. Then you add true ski-in/ski-out access on the Meadows run, unobstructed San Sophia views and a private hot tub on the lower patio. Now the house gets really interesting. Mountain Village Aspen Ridge has been newly renovated with cleaner contemporary finishes, an open kitchen and dining layout, Sonos and a fireplace. It feels polished without losing the sense that you're here to ski. But for me, the genius is the combination of adult bedrooms and direct mountain access. Nobody draws the short straw on bedrooms, and nobody has to load the car to go skiing.

What we love

Three king suites. That's the feature I'd tell another adult group about first. Then there's the skiing. Direct access to the Meadows run means different members of the group can start and finish their ski days independently. The private hot tub makes perfect sense on the lower patio, especially with the San Sophia views. And I like that every bedroom has air conditioning. That's more relevant in summer than winter, obviously, but it makes the house much more versatile as a year-round rental.

Keep in mind

Air conditioning is in the bedrooms rather than throughout the entire home, and nearby construction may occasionally affect the setting. Direct ski access is also naturally dependent on snow conditions and resort operations.

Work Mode

There's enough separation to work comfortably, but the house's real strengths are skiing, views and the unusually good bedroom configuration.

Getting around

For skiing, you can largely leave the car alone: the house has true ski-in/ski-out access to Telluride Ski Resort via the Meadows run. For restaurants, shops and the gondola, Mountain Village transportation or a vehicle remains useful. Summer brings excellent hiking and mountain biking, along with golf and the gondola connection to Telluride town.
