Calista Oasis sits in Lower Bel Air just steps from the Hotel Bel-Air, but its mood belongs several thousand miles east. Designed in collaboration with Eran Gispan, the new estate mixes Mediterranean serenity with modern architecture: sun-washed tones, travertine, handcrafted plaster, walnut millwork and enormous glass walls that disappear toward the outdoors. It's sophisticated without feeling severe, modern without defaulting to black-and-white, and resort-like without needing to announce itself with a dozen gimmicks. This is an Aegean-inspired version of Los Angeles luxury. White stone, warm wood, water, sunlight, open air. Pour something cold, open the glass and spend the afternoon pretending Stone Canyon Road somehow leads directly to the Greek islands.
