Drexel Ave may have one of the most valuable amenities in our entire LA collection, and it isn't the pool. You can walk out the front door and have a life. The Grove. West Third Street. Beverly Center. Restaurants. Shopping. Coffee. Groceries. They're part of the neighborhood rather than destinations requiring an expedition across Los Angeles. Then, somehow, behind the house you still get a private pool and spa. That's the combination that interests us. Five bedrooms, warm oak floors, big sliding glass doors and a contemporary kitchen give you all the expected polish, but Drexel isn't asking you to spend the month admiring it. It's giving you a base from which to actually live in central LA. Morning walk. Lunch on Third. Afternoon by the pool. Dinner out. Back home without spending half your day on the freeway. Sometimes location is the amenity that makes everything else work better.

What we love

The neighborhood. We don't want to bury that beneath the Italian porcelain kitchen island. Although the island is pretty good. The interiors have organic oak floors, soaring ceilings and large sliding glass doors connecting the house to the backyard. The kitchen uses Miele appliances and imported Italian porcelain, while each of the five bedrooms has its own bathroom. That's all excellent. But then walk outside. The Grove. West Third Street. Beverly Center. Restaurants, cafés, shops and everyday errands are close enough that you don't automatically reach for the car keys. Then come home and jump in your own pool. That's a rare combination in this collection: urban convenience without giving up the private backyard.

Keep in mind

Drexel doesn't have the acreage, views or architectural spectacle of our hillside estates. That's not why you choose it. You choose Drexel because you want a polished five-bedroom home with a pool in the middle of things.

Work Mode

Five en-suite bedrooms make it easy to carve out privacy, and the central location means someone can disappear for a meeting while everyone else walks to lunch rather than waiting around the house.

Getting around

This is one of our strongest central-LA locations. The Grove, West Third Street and Beverly Center are within walking distance, with Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Museum Row and Century City nearby by car. You can genuinely build ordinary days here without organizing everything around traffic.
