Blue Heights is what happens when the view refuses to stay outside. Designed by Fu Wilmers Design, the house uses 11-foot floor-to-ceiling glass and disappearing doors to pull a 360-degree panorama of city, ocean and mountains directly into the rooms. Then somebody placed a zero-edge infinity pool against that horizon just to make the point absolutely clear. This could easily become another review about an LA view, but the architecture earns more attention than that. There's a mid-century ease to the open plan, a clean neutral palette and enough restraint that the scenery remains the loudest thing in the house. Downstairs, the mood changes completely with a bar, gym, wine-tasting area and 12-seat Dolby Atmos theater. Blue Heights gives you two Los Angeles fantasies in one house: the cinematic glass box above the city and the private club hidden underneath it.
