What really surprises you, though, is the setting. Mature redwood trees tower throughout the property, creating a forested, established feel that you wouldn’t expect this close to town. The townhouse itself is compact but incredibly efficient and inviting. Inside, the space opens into a light-filled, two-story living area with oversized windows, giving the home an airy, cozy-at-the-same-time vibe. Everything here feels thoughtfully built and well cared for. For someone who wants to be in the absolute heart of Healdsburg without needing a lot of space, this place feels instantly livable and genuinely welcoming.

What we love

The location is the star. You’re steps from the farmers market, a short stroll to the Plaza, and close enough that grabbing coffee, dinner, or a bottle of wine never feels like a “drive.” It’s rare to find that kind of walkability paired with this much privacy and greenery. Inside, the main level flows beautifully. Kitchen, dining, and living areas are all connected, making the space feel larger than its footprint suggests. Off the dining room is a truly charming deck with seating and an outdoor fireplace. It’s a standout feature and a perfect spot for morning coffee or winding down at night, with redwoods as your backdrop. The shared amenities are another big plus. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen are beautifully maintained and just steps away from the unit. Despite being communal, it’s remarkably quiet. Every time we’ve been here, it feels peaceful and uncrowded. Add in the two-story living room with tons of glass and natural light, and the home has a warmth that makes it feel like home almost immediately.

Keep in mind

This is a smaller townhouse, so it’s best suited for someone with modest space needs. The upstairs loft functions as a secondary sleeping area, but it’s open to the living room below and serves as a pass-through to the primary bedroom. It works well for a short-term guest, but we wouldn’t recommend placing someone there for a full month. The kitchen leans slightly dated with darker wood cabinetry, though it’s clean, well maintained, and built with quality materials. Also worth noting: the garage is not included with the rental. That said, on-street parking nearby has been easy and convenient in our experience. These are all manageable considerations, but important to know upfront.
