Louise Modern is the house where everyone gets a bathroom and nobody has to negotiate. Seven bedrooms. Seven-and-a-half baths. Two en-suite bedrooms downstairs and five more upstairs. A gym, pool and spa, sauna, cabana, outdoor shower, full barbecue station, wet bar and outdoor basketball court round out the program. It’s a lot, but unlike some of LA’s giant hillside houses, the point here isn’t spectacle. The point is ease. Louise sits in Encino’s Amestoy Estates, where a big family can settle into something closer to normal residential life while still having enough amenities to make home the preferred destination. Kids can shoot hoops outside, somebody can work out, someone else can use the sauna, and dinner can happen at the outdoor bar. Grandparents can settle into one of the downstairs suites. That may not produce the most dramatic Instagram post in Los Angeles. It may produce a much better month.
