Two dishwashers. That's not the sexiest amenity we've ever written about, but in a six-bedroom house for fourteen people, it tells me somebody understands how a big family actually lives. Beaver Creek Bachelor Gulch Road is a warm, multi-level mountain home with the things you'd expect: a private hot tub, outdoor fire pit, big kitchen and plenty of gathering space. But it's the practical details that make me like it. There's an extra refrigerator in the garage, serious cooking capacity and enough separation across the house that fourteen people don't have to spend every waking minute together. This isn't a house designed to photograph well and then become difficult the minute everybody arrives. It feels designed for the week when the groceries show up, somebody starts cooking dinner and the house actually has to work.
