What we love
This house is enormous — 8,000+ square feet of stone, wood, and glass — but somehow still manages to feel airy and open. The kitchen is one of the best we’ve seen: a chef’s dream with space to spread out, cook big, and gather even bigger. Outside, acres of vineyards and rolling hills wrap around you, with a private pool, giant fire pit, olive groves, and even chickens and livestock to complete the farm-to-table fantasy. It’s not just a house, it’s an experience: wander the grounds, walk to the winery for a tasting, or just sit with a glass of cabernet as the sun slides behind the ridgeline.

Keep in Mind
Skipstone is off the beaten path — you’ll need the car keys for anything beyond the estate. The style leans Mediterranean with dark wood, heavy stone, and masculine touches. Some finishes feel more European villa than contemporary wine country, so if you’re after bright white farmhouse vibes, this isn’t that. But for those who like rich, moody character, it’s spot-on.
The Brag
Joe B. lens:
The kitchen. Full stop. This is where I’d cook, host, and pour wine all night — it’s one of the most functional, beautiful kitchens I’ve ever seen. The outdoor fire pit and pool deck only add to the entertaining dream.
Joe R. lens:
The scale of the place blew me away. Every room has space to work, relax, or
Zoom with a vineyard backdrop. And the chickens roaming the grounds? The quirky cherry on top of a serious estate.
Together we agree:
While not everyone’s preferred style, this house is jaw-droppingly well-built and perfectly placed.

Getting Around
This is country living — you’re not steps from the Plaza, but that’s the point. The wineries of Alexander Valley and Dry Creek are within a short drive, and Healdsburg’s restaurants and tasting rooms are about 15–20 minutes away. But once you’re here, you may never want to leave.
